1. Alexis Beauty and Wellness Spa – conforms to the regulations as set out by the new Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and thereby is obliged to advise our clients of our Terms & Conditions of business.
  2. Spa Environment – Our spa environment is one of tranquility and relaxation. Please respect all spa guests’ right to privacy and serenity.
  3. Since this is your lone time to relax and be treated without interruption, we encourage you to turn off your mobile devices and not be distracted by children or loud noises.
  4. Spa arrival – Please arrive at least five minutes before the scheduled time to check in. Arriving late may make it necessary to limit the time of your treatment so that the next guest is not delayed in any way. You would still be charged at the full treatment price.
  5. New client – If you are a new client (male or female) we recommend that you arrive at least 15 – 20 minutes prior to your scheduled treatment time so that our staff/therapist has sufficient time to do a thorough consultation with you so that we provide you with the best service offering.
  6. Our staff/therapist will advise and explain the different treatments, techniques and options available to you.
  7. Spa Attire – You will be provided with a spa disposable underwear for males or females or you may choose to wear your own while in your private treatment room for treatments such as waxing and massages. Choose what is most comfortable for you. Our therapists will always use draping techniques to respect your privacy.
  8. If you are having a pedicure treatment, we suggest that you bring a pair of open sandals so that you don’t smudge those perfectly painted nails when you leave the spa.
  9. Behaviour – Sexual harassment will under no circumstances be tolerated. If this should occur, your treatment/s will be terminated immediately and the full price will be charged.
  10. Parental guidance – all family members under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult when requesting body and skin treatments such as waxing and massaging.
  11. Health matters – Our therapists will be completing a thorough consultation with you on your first visit. Please ensure full disclosure and honesty with regards to medical conditions, contra indications such as but not limited to High/low blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, heart conditions, surgery, pregnancy, epilepsy, muscle or joint injuries, osteoporosis, skin conditions, neuropathy and allergies. Please inform us at future appointments should any of this have changed or new health issues have developed.
  12. We recommend that you seek your doctor’s advice prior to treatments should you have any concerns about your medical condition. Our therapists are not medical doctors and as such cannot diagnose medical conditions. Therefore, our spa reserves the right to provide or deny services at will.
  13. We recommend that you drink sufficient water after your spa treatment to help accelerate the elimination of toxins.
  14. Product use – Our Spa relies exclusively on the information provided by the manufacturers of the retail products. Information provided is from the product testing done and in some cases clinical trials by the ingredient/product manufacturers. Kindly note that all treatments are carried out at your own risk. Alexis Beauty and Wellness Spa cannot be held liable/responsible for any loss or injury to person.
  15. Sanitisation – All our instruments that we use are thoroughly sanitised/disinfected before use to prevent infections and fungus being transferred from client to client. For this reason, please note that should your therapist find that you present signs of a fungus/infection or that you have a fungus/infection, we unfortunately cannot do the treatment until the infection/fungus has been cleared. Please ask your therapist for suggestion and recommendations on how to treat the problem & to reschedule your appointment.
  16. Refunds and returnsTreatments, products and packages are non-refundable, non-transferable and may not be exchanged for other treatments.
  17. For hygiene reasons products purchased may not be returned or exchanged.
  18. Payment terms – All treatments and purchases must be paid immediately after service is provided or prior to treatment if you so wish. We accept the following forms of payment: Cash or major bank cards.
  19. If booking for 2 people or more, we shall require either Credit Card Details or a 50% deposit to confirm the booking.
  20. Any appointment not cancelled before 24 hours of the scheduled treatment will be charged for in full because the treatment time would be specifically reserved for you.
  21. Alexis Beauty and Wellness Spa reserves the right to increase prices without prior notice should our cost of products or treatments be increased. However, we will endeavour to give you prior notice of intended changes in prices.
  22. Loyalty programs and Gift vouchersSpa Gift Vouchers are valid for 3 (three) months from date of purchase. Gift Vouchers will be for a monetary value only. This may then be redeemed off any treatment only at normal prices and cannot be redeemed for products.

Loyalty Programmes are restricted to an individual and may not be shared amongst more than one individual; only valid for 12 (twelve) months from date of inception and when the reward must be redeemed.

  1. Retail terms – Our Spa relies exclusively on the information provided by the manufacturers of the retail products sold. Although we aspire to use well known and tested products, it does not warrant that any product will give the same results for different people because everybody’s skin type and physiology differs. Our trained staff will advise you on products.
  2. Products purchased may not be returned or exchanged once opened or the seal has been broken due to hygiene reasons.
  3. Valuables – Alexis Beauty and Wellness Spa will not be held liable for any theft, damage, loss, injury or misfortune that may occur while on our premises. It is recommended that you keep valuables such as jewels and mobile devices locked away or safely in your possession prior to your treatment.
  4. Gratuity – In appreciation of your therapist’s service, gratuity may be given to the therapist in cash or placed on your bill at your own discretion. All prices exclude gratuities.
  5. Scheduling an appointment, purchasing gift vouchers or any products from Alexis Beauty and Wellness Spa is an acknowledgement of our Spa etiquette and terms and conditions, and they apply at the time of booking/purchase.
